I have been working at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Most managers with with your availability/time off requirements. Your work is what you make of it, so if you wish to explore and try new things you can, and are encouraged to. It's very easy to get along with people and make friends which makes work not feel so tedious and mundane.

    Cons

Big corporation, so a lot of red tape and hoops to jump through to get simple tasks done. Different departments have different rules and expectations, so there is no uniform way of doing things or getting things done. Work locations are not as open as they appear to be; for example, if you want to work in Santa Clara, you may do so, providing the group you work for works there as well. Certain job roles are only in certain locations, so you are limited to where you can work from doing what you want to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow us to work from alternate locations without having to change groups/managers.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Really do place a lot of importance on work life balance. For interns and new hires especially, they have a ton of work sponsored events and ways to meet other employees.

    Cons

Could be very monotonous at times. Same weekly and monthly meetings, a lot of "same problems, different quarter." Not ideal if you're looking for something a little more fast paced.

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

You get to work on leading edge technology products. Fast paced environment that always offers new learning opportunities. You get to be a part of products that really do change our world.

    Cons

No down time between the rush to get the next new product to market tends to burn people out working long hours all the time. The annual review process promotes a dog eat dog environment as their ranking method will force below expectations reviews on some people that are doing all aspect of there jobs simply because there are others that are doing more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to moral of the lower grade engineers.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

For a full time employee, you get all of the benefits you can probably think of, and then on top of that you can include a very good salary. The culture of the company is great, the people are awesome and fun to work with.

    Cons

Intel plays a big role in the development of products, so it doesn't get the attention of the public that most up-front companies like Apple do.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

One of Intel's core values is risk-taking meaning they are willing to take a chance on your ideas and that they are open to new things. They also encourage their employees to further improve themselves and their surroundings. The company cares about your health and lifestyle and will run events to motivate everyone. There are often social gatherings of all sorts so that you can get to know your fellow co-workers. Intel has an RCG(recent college grad) program that helps new hires get integrated with other RCGs.

    Cons

Management can be too busy to help with personal growth sometimes. Also, some full-time workers are overworked and asked to stay past midnight or to work on weekends. In contrast there are also some average workers who will take advantage of the salary work pay and leave early from work. Some of the events that are held in the company office can be distracting and might even be an interference.
