I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Seems to be a lot of activities to keep your interest, and the pay is about middle of the road.

    Cons

They want to take over your life and make sure you drink the corporate koolaid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to be more flexible and adopt more of a start up mentality, obsession with meetings for the sake of having meetings means you often miss deadlines. People are too busy going to meetings to get any real work done.

I have been working at Intel Corporation

    Pros

    Benefits and pay
    Very good at corporate

    Cons

Engineers turn into Managers, managing people turns into a survey. They (Eng) are not managers but, they think they are because they took a WBT course.
    Focal process a forced statistic.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Work with great people on interesting projects
    Good benefits
Projects with real impact on worldwide scale
Work life balanced encouraged (although sometimes hard to achieve)

    Cons

Work life balanced can be challenging with teams across the globe and work that can include late night or early morning meetings.
Very specific corporate culture that may not be a good fit for all, things are done "The Intel Way"
it's often surprising how resource constrained projects can be despite the company be very profitable.
It's not a software company at heart so being a software engineer at Intel can sometimes be frustrating due to lack of software relegated practices and management tools

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Intel should get a lot more serious about software and software engineering practices.
The company is often to democratic some order and decision making would often be appreciated.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Fun and supportive coworkers, lots to learn, experience working for such a massive corporate entity.

    Cons

This was partly because there were so many people working there, but the importance of your individual contributions felt pretty minimal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can't say I have too much here, overall I didn't rub shoulders with upper management too much.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
