Exciting experience

Project Consultant (Current Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I have been working at Intelex full-time for more than a year

Pros- Great culture,
- Friendly people,

- Good downtown location,
- Good rate of growth,

Cons- Could get hectic at times,
- Handling many projects at the same times could get messy at times,

Advice to Senior ManagementAdd to Dev team and fix some of the platform issues. Distribute projects evenly between people and don't assign more than 3 project to a person at a time.

Fun place to work, but too many newbies

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I have been working at Intelex full-time for more than a year

ProsCompany has a fun vibe, lots of young vibrant people, great parties, easy going and friendly management. Lots of new things going on, fast paced and dynamic.

ConsA lot of new hires without appropriate educational level or skills. Mentoring feels like babysitting.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire people who are smarter and have solid education from good universities in technical fields, as opposed to fluffy degrees from mediocre schools.

Horrible place to work

Implementation (Former Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I worked at Intelex full-time for more than a year

Prosnothing really to tell, casual dress to work but most IT companies are into this now.
Commute is ok, if you are in the city.

ConsBad management. These reviews are obviously fake, HR has nothing better to do. Just ask someone who has worked there or is currently working there. It is a nightmare. I do not recommend working here unless you are truly desperate.
No respect for employees.
Salary is not even close to industry standards.
Long hours with managers always pressuring you.
Think twice and get some feedback from employees. Most of them just keep quiet because they need a job at the end of the day, so very little about their misery is known to the public.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees better.

Great people to work for, the software needs to mature

Project Manager (Former Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I worked at Intelex full-time for more than a year

ProsPretty good culture and very good benefits (parties, personal days off, 3 weeks vacation)

ConsThe software is very new and it is very difficult for the company to deliver solutions. This should get better over time, it will take 1.5 to 2 years

Advice to Senior ManagementGet the product right (front end and back end). Focus on standard applications (the "customized" extendability of the applications is likely to create problems for on-going support).

– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Fast Growing Company

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I have been working at Intelex full-time for less than a year

Pros- Engaged & involved CEO - candidates meet with CEO in last phase of interview process
- Employee suggestions and input are taken seriously and implemented
- Fun social events - Blue Jays game, Boat Cruise, Patio Parties, Deerhurst Resort
- Hard work and successes are recognized and rewarded

Cons- As a fast growing company, Intelex experiences the growing pains that come along with it - more formalized processes throughout the organization are trying to catch up with the growth
- Everyone is very busy, sometimes it can be difficult for information sharing
