    Pros

    Good assignment with excellent pay.

    Cons

    Supervision highly unskilled and not to be trusted. Sleeping on the job and lack of professionalism appears to be rewarded with more work assignments if you are friends with the right supervisors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Upper management needs to get out of the office more and make visits to your sites. Your field supervisors are covering up a lot of unprofessional behavior that will some day come back to bite you.

    Pros

    Learned a lot, by doing work way out of my scope and Statement of Work.

    Cons

    Inter-Con assuming this contract was small and insignificant. Then they realized how detailed and demanding it is. Instead of adjusting with it, they resisted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It was a difficult transition, but how about thanking the ones who did the extra work that is not even close to the current Statement of Work, so you stayed compliant with the contract. I really do like your business model of Promotion within and also recognizing education. There's a good base here just don't forget the ones who keep things going.

    I had a great experience at Akal Security Inc. until Inter-Con took over at the end of October 2013.

    I worked at Inter-Con Security as a contractor (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    The compensation and working conditions are equal to the best in the country. The majority of Officers are extremely professional and for the most part consider each other as brothers and sisters in a large family.

    Cons

    The Marshal Service as of November 2013 have not been sensitive to older Court Security Officers (CSO's) and as a result, an exorbitant number of CSO's have been medically disqualified for minor conditions such as color blindness,high blood pressure ,even though under doctors care, stress test performance even though private physicians have stated there were no significant heart problems. Management needs to be fair in evaluating these older CSO's.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Marshal Service and management at Inter-Con should not violate discriminating laws concerning older CSO,s. The morale was greatest prior to November 2013. Inter- Con needs to take greater look at evaluating the medical and physical requirements for all CSO,s in order to obtain better performance and respect from all CSO,s.

    I had excellent performance at Inter-Con Security Inc. as a Lead Court Security Officer and a Court Security Officer.

    Pros

    The salary and work environment is the best in the country. All my co-workers were professionally trained as former police officers and performed accordingly.

    Cons

    Inter-Con came in the end of October 2013, as a new Company the Marshal Service began violating age discriminating laws, by eliminating older CSO's on medical conditions that were not the practice of pass years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I would advise Management to have meetings with employees at least once a month to monitor on a regular basis to measure the morale and work performance without negative repercussions from supervisors.

    I have been working at Inter-Con Security part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    currently high wage, but is dropping.

    Cons

    The try to hide your vacation time. If you don't complain, they don't pay you for it. If you quit, you loose it all. They do everything they can to not pay you a bonus.
    The randomly rotate you to any shift they choose for no reason.
    The routinely screw up payroll, which requires more arguing just to get payed for hours you have worked.
    They had a lawsuit about breaks, and not paying for them, which has lead to a weird shift layout.
    You can not work up the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Fix local management. Having local management complain to people, that they had to pay a 6 figure tax to the government, when we get peanuts does not make for happy employees.
