I have been working at InterCall full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very stable, continues to build innovative partnerships, no micro managing, benefits, time off, has a great group of people to work with.

    Cons

Management has favorites to move up in the company, base salary is a bit weak, commission structure has become a challenge as it is focused on certain products and areas more than others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop playing the favorites game and raise your base pay to keep employees.

Promotes employees from within but trying to find its place with the commoditization of its core audio product

I have been working at InterCall full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

First I would rate InterCall a 3.5 but that is not an option
Promotes from within and that is a big plus
International opportunities for some in Sales
There are a lot of great people in the company
    Benefits to a degree

    Cons

    Core product is commoditized
Company trying to reinvent itself which is needs to do
Not so great pay raises and no pay raises for some due to company performance is affecting moral
Does not invest in employee training or growth enough (somewhat does for Sales)
Benefits: yes they were a pro but they are also a con when compared to many top level companies

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are not going to give pay raises or make them minimal pay raises, even for well reviewed employees, then invest in your best employees to give them a reason to stay: training, coaching, growth or certification, better benefits, or some key things to enhance retention.

I have been working at InterCall full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They promote from within if you are popular. Lots of products to sell.

    Cons

Nasty mean immature management . They hire people straight out of college with no experience in sales and/or corporate america. (often the friends or family members of people who work there) They pay horrible because most of these people live with Mom and Dad or roommates. They promote these same people with no other experience to management positions. They have no idea how to sell or manage employees. There is no support or collaboration from the management team to the sales reps. They pass easy wins and closing deals to their friends or people they like then celebrate like they really closed something. (and promote them) At the same time the people who are really working and trying to sell get shafted. Everything they do to manage is straight out of what NOT to do to motivate employees. They smile in your face and then send nasty e-mails. Everything is a negative and managed that way. Everything they do is punitive and not about selling or making money. It's the most quiet sales floor you have ever seen with people miserable and hating the place. When it's 5pm people run out like the place is on fire. They change expectations on a daily basis. They motivate through free drinking events because of their immature staff. The sad thing is I have now heard that this toxic work atmosphere has been going on for about a decade. So the problem is at the top really - not the ignorant mean middle management staff. If you want to make no money, be miserable and treated badly it's the place for you. The fact that their HR had to step in to have seminars asking why there is such a high turnover rate says it all. Don't even think about working here unless you are desperate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get real sales management in that place.

I have been working at InterCall full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Offer work from home options, which helps when you consider that they aren't going to offer any other perks.

    Cons

No salary increase in over three years and less and less communication from executive leadership regarding goals and if they are being attained. If you aren't in Chicago, there is little hope for any visibility or promotion possibilities.

    Pros

    Great work environment
A lot of room for growth and promotions
    Great people
    Fast paced
    Opportunity to learn and grow
Great interaction with executives and different teams

    Cons

The pay and the bonus structure could be better. There is a lot of red tape that has recently been put in place that prohibits selling capabilities.
