    Pros

I had great leadership and a lot of opportunities to grow and learn in the hospitality industry. Compensated well for the work done.

    Cons

Working a lot during undesirable hours, but that comes with working the service industry.

    Pros

They pay is great, your colleagues are great, there is a team mentality, and it's a great space in a beautiful location.

    Cons

Service industry hours are tough, scheduling was always a problem (especially with the high-turnover rate of managers/supervisors).

    Advice to Management

Make the mid-level management positions more appealing so that you can hold onto talented people!

    Pros

Very good workplace with great benefits and good pay. You are treated well and can move up quickly if you are motivated.

    Cons

Since you are in a big corporation, there are always limits to what you can do, the red tape is quite large around here.

    Advice to Management

Treat this less like a corporation and more like a standalone place.

    Pros

you are able to be creative in your work. Althought there are standards to follow, the idea is to be your own. Create an experience for the guests. People want to get the real experience when they travel. InterContinental main focus, is to achieve that, in an elegant and refine place, without feeling stuffy. Each hotel has it's own character/ feel. InterContinental is a world wide company, so you could literaly travel the world working for them. I can say that I've had the opportunity to travel work/leisure on to differents hotels, and every where that I go, is always a new and exciting experience. Live, eat and Sleep @ the InterContinental.

    Cons

    i have non to mention

    Advice to Management

Communication is the key to success. Listen to your staff, they might have the solution and/or ideas to make it a better place.
