The owners are friendly and care about people.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThis company cares about it's people there is a fully stocked refrigerator, a great environment and managers and owners who care. They are willing to take a shot on new employees with little experience, and train them up. The owners do 3-5 happy hours a year where they buy the drinks. The people you work with are fun and caring. The teams are supportive. This is a great place if you are happy with being challenged 35% of the time.

ConsBecause they take a shot on some people team turnover can be high. They go towards government contracts which I find to be less than exciting, this also limits the technology they use. If you are a great developer and want to be on the cutting edge this isn't the place for you, but if you need to get into the field and try something out this place is great!

Advice to Senior ManagementPush your developers more and try to find better contracts.

    Startup feel

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThey have excellent benefits with a fully stocked kitchen (vegetarian). It was pleasantly surprising to how many very smart and nice people work here.

ConsSadly they have not enough contracts.

    Clueless employer

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThere is nothing good about this employer.

ConsThis employer had their Certification & Accreditation team write "software development test scripts" because none of the management knew anything about IA. The federal client was extremely abusive to contractors and made a sexual pass at one of the female contractors whose only recourse was to leave. They didn't keep their "pre-hire" promises to another contractor - always a bad sign for contractors to note.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

It is time to grow up!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsWell stocked kitchen (if you are willing to subscribe to the owner's idea of healthy)
Attracts smart people (they just don't stay very long)
    Great location

    ConsLack of strategic focus.
No transparency and owners lack integrity.
Poor past performance makes the future look dim.
One owner is condescending and the other is a bully.
No sense of loyalty for good work.
No backbone in dealing with problem employees (Owner once explicitly stated that they expected average to below average performance and looked to high performers to take up the slack)

Advice to Senior ManagementStop talking about strategy and actually make a plan. Reward good work and deal with poor performance. Stop getting drunk with your employees. You don't look hip or gain their respect and in many cases you lose their respect. Stop interfering with people's private lives. Your employees don't want or need your marriage/relationship/parenting advice. They are employees and not your children.

Unprofessional Proposal Processes; No industry best practices

Senior Proposal Manager (Former Employee) Arlington, VA

ProsA fully stocked kitchen with healthy foods, frozen and fresh, drinks.
    Great people

ConsNo true proposal process. A cut and paste shop.
CEO is irrational, paranoid about security, and stuck in her ways, which are anything but industry best practices.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet an experienced Corporate Operations Manager. Keep the CEO focused on partnerships, learning the Federal contracting environment, and on the road. Let professionals manage and perform the proposal process with Industry Best Practices.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
