I have been working at Interactive Data full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company is small enough to remain somewhat flexible and innovative.

    Cons

The company is very segmented due to how the company was built through numerous acquisitions. This limits the flow of information and makes it hard to see how you would move around the organization to move up.

I have been working at Interactive Data full-time

    Pros

    Vacation time and health benefits

    Cons

No communication. Stephen Daffron has said multiple times that the company is transparent. That is far from the truth. Everyone is afraid their job is on the line. In the past 3 months there have been more then 30 lay offs. Who's next? The moral is at an all time low.

    Advice to Management

    Get a back bone

I worked at Interactive Data full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work life balance, great benefits, great salary with bonuses, very knowledgeable long term employees.

    Cons

CEO, CTO, CIO, or whatever at the top level and the VC firms. They had no idea what this company is about. They don't have a viable strategy and only see the dollar signs.

    Advice to Management

Get out of IDC and return it to its rightful people.

    Pros

    Cons

24/7 coverage (calls at all hours of the night) Minimal pay No career advancement

    Advice to Management

Compensate your employees fairly for the extended coverage hours they work. Help develop your employees and promote from within rather than forcing employees to look elsewhere for career advancement.

    Pros

Comfortable work environment 20 days paid time off

    Cons

No room for growth No bonuses Low pay relative to other companies Management is too scared to allow you to grow and stay engaged Want you to do more without any pay for performance incentive Why do more when smartest guy in room gets same raise as you do Can't believe this company turns a profit with garbage infrastructure

    Advice to Management

Grow a pair and reward your employees with real raises and bonuses.
