Pros
Interactive Data provides an extremely flexible workplace, with nice offices and good benefits. Senior management expects employees to be largely self directed, and offers quite a bit of face time with senior management. There are many opportunities to make improvements to products and great flexibility to work on projects that you find interesting. Overall it is a very good place to work.
Cons
Little feedback is given as to how your project effects the product line as a whole and very little big picture information is given. While not extremely important in the context of how your projects are progressing it would be nice to find out how everything fits together. Compensation seems to be low versus competitors, but it may be a function of profit per product as I work on a fairly small product.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more incite as to how your projects and products fit into the overall business plan and objectives, and reviews and feedback should be more frequent. Adopting 360 degree reviews within the company would also be appreciated.
