I have been working at Interface full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A very comfortable work environment. The people here are great. The benefits are well above what most in the area are willing to offer.

    Cons

I don't have any real complaints about this company. I guess the only one would be that at times the work isn't very exciting because a lot of the products are very specific in their applications.

I have been working at Interface full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

some people are OK to work with.

    Cons

I would not recommend this place to anyone working in IT. Technology is done the old way and everything gets outsourced! It's not a healthy environment and upper management thinks treating everyone as a child is leadership. Everyone loves to throw you under the bus and not work as a team or blame a vendor. Horrible decision making, if they actually make one. There are a lot of people who have been here a LONG time... that's because they have no where else to go!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let your employees do the work they were hired to do and stop micromanaging. Make decisions and stop passing it around to stall for more time. Learn about leadership skills and stop using outdated management techniques! Don't lie to your future candidates about what to expect if they take the job at Interface. You'll just end up with unhappy employees!

I have been working at Interface

    Pros

A steady paycheck. Decent benefits. The location is conveniently located in the Scottsdale Airpark. For most positions you don't have to worry (too much) about being replaced.

    Cons

No positive reinforcement...ever. Mismanaged. No one is happy in their work at Interface except for possibly some of the engineers. Engineering, as a department, is better organized and run than any other department and the only ones to get recognized for doing good work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers need to be able to start running their own teams and not get infiltrated and blocked at every turn by the President.

I worked at Interface full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some people are nice. I can't think of anything that's really positive about this company. It's just a horrible place to work.

    Cons

My #1 problem with this company is the management is beyond horrible... extramarital affairs with their secretary (and everyone knows what's going on), ex-convict, or they just don't know what they're talking about. And they spend millions of $$$$$ on technology they can't implement or understand themselves and then skip out on giving bonuses when it comes time for that. #2, this company has no talent. If you're still there and haven't left, what does that say about you?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Enjoy it while it lasts.

I worked at Interface full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Close group of employees, family environment, good benefits and pay scale.

    Cons

Layoffs are not uncommon and they don't offer those cut other positions, just let them go and encourage them to reapply for other openings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stronger accountability for employees. Often those causing issues are given second, third or more chances.
