I have been working at Intergraph full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

For the most part, local managers care about, and take care of their employees.

    Cons

    Limited training and career options.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Middle management spends too much time in meetings, and not enough time managing and coaching their employees.

I worked at Intergraph full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They have a great products. They are considered Cadillac of the industry.
Genuinely nice people and created long lasting relationships.

    Ok benefits.

    Cons

Sour attitude towards new ideas. Young people should look somewhere else. Flexibility with employees is a joke. They say something else and treat their employees with complete disrespect.

Technology company and working remote is like pulling teeth. If you hire smart people, be ready to listen to constructive criticism and trust their work ethics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire passionate people. Respect people who are passionate. Management should look into hiring people with new ideas.

    Pros

The company has been in the business for years and they offer unbelievable software products to several different industries (EMS, Police, Power, etc).

    Cons

Do your research on the division you will be applying for. Some divisions are less than zero.

I worked at Intergraph full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Dynamic software development environment. Good supporting systems like HR, employee information web site, benefits good.

    Cons

Out of touch with changing working environments. No concern for experienced work force. Doesn't understand time required to learn new software. Believes customer wants more than what is required. Doesn't promote company paid training/cerification. Treats employees as "after the fact" commodities. Lacks understanding of employee accomplishments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen closer to the people in touch with the daily users of your products - comments from the customer management team should be taken with a grain of salt. Retain experienced employees to train next generation of contributors. Don't reply on "cheaper is better" approach.

I worked at Intergraph full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Company is moving in good direction. Co-workers were passionate about their job which was fun to be around. 401k, health insurance, & vacation was awesome. Access to a gym! Even though I was part of a large lay-off, I understand and respect the decision made because it was needed for the company to evolve.

    Cons

At first there was a big disconnect on expectations. Was also minimal training. Asking questions was not encouraged. The company was going through growth plans and mergers and my entire department was cancelled.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Intergraph full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Superb International Company - Great world-wide market opportunities - Long experience in the field.
Great people Career growth for the ones who want it.
Flexible work hour and work-life balance - no city-life pressure - no bumper to bumper commute.
Very good Technical team - You learn or you can't - No baby Sitting - Self-training.
Employee friendly without false and superficial care for employees (No BS).
Lot of scope for learning without holding your hands - Employees learn on the job the way it should always be.

    Cons

Too much employee turnover with India Teams. Poor value from most India teams - Too much redo - You get what you paid for.
Not enough new college recruits mainly in business, customer training, customer support, and testing management positions.
General Management is old (technical management is knowledgeable) need more newly trained management skills for business and marketing discovery, customer training, customer support, and product testing.
Overpaid government contractors and government related products - Corporate Welfare

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We need more managers with degrees and certifications to manage. We can teach young managerial recruits our business values and our technical knowledge but we cannot teach how to manage in the world-wide current environment. Create advancements for all employees and find ways to open up management opportunities to those that have not been with the company many years but have degrees and certifications to manage (business relations, new marketing plans, customer training, customer support, and product testing). As any other companies and corporations employees who give 100% should be treated with more consideration rather treating them like they are doormats.
