    Pros

    The visibiliy of your profile as an international arbitraiton lawyer is relatively high.
    Work / Life balance is good
    Medical insurance (French state supported) is fabulous

    Cons

    Limited internal career growth
    Poor supervisory skills since those who supervise you do not have any training in management
    Restricted initiative on independent projects
    No space for personal development
    Low level of transparency on HR issues, recruitement and etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I would recommend leaders at the ICC Internaitonal Court of Arbitration learn to lead in a more inspiring way, communicate their strategies better to employees, start setting an example through transparency in decision-making, demonstrate integrity as people not just lawyers, show geniune interest in the work of subordinates and rely less on tightly-knit 'arbitration' mafia circle of the usual suspects, open to new people and ways of doing things.

    Pros

    - Environnement de travail international ;

    - Collègues intéressants ;

    - Des opportunités de réseautage incroyables.

    -International work environment
    -Interesting colleagues
    -Incredible networking opportunities

    Cons

    - Les stagiaires travaillent beaucoup pour la rémunération minimale ;

    - Pas beaucoup de place pour l'avancement ;

    - Les salaires ont tendance à être plus bas que la moyenne du marché ;

    - Les meilleurs employés ne sont pas valorisés (pas reconnus et sous-rémunérés) et vous pouvez deviner que beaucoup d'entre eux partent ;

    - Difficile de réaliser des progrès ;

    - Les femmes ont tendance à trop passer devant pour les postes importants et les promotions ;

    - La plupart des assistants sont beaucoup trop qualifiés pour leur poste - leur véritable potentiel est gaspillé.

    -Interns do a lot of work with only the minimum compensation
    -Not much room for advancement
    -Salaries tend to be lower than market average
    -Many of the best employees are taken-for-granted (under-promoted and under-compensated) and you can guess many of the best leave
    -Slow to achieve progress
    -Women tend to disproportionately get passed over for the top spots and promotions
    -Most of the assistants are far too over qualified for their positions - their true potential is wasted

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Les employés pourraient être traités avec plus de respect.

    Employees could be treated with more respect.

    Très bonne expérience, même si j'aurais apprécié une charge de travail un peu plus importante Great experience, even though a little more workload would have been appreciated

    I worked at International Chamber of Commerce as an intern for less than a year

    (Translated from English)

    Pros

    Environnement international : c'était super de travailler avec des personnes originaires de différents pays, bonne ambiance de travail

    International environment : it was great to work with people coming from different countries, a good work atmosphere

    Cons

    D'après mon expérience personnelle, en tant que stagiaire, j'étais « laissé seul » dans le sens où on m'avait donné un travail à faire, mais mon superviseur ne m'a pas appris beaucoup sur l'emploi (assistant de communications) – peut-être serait-ce un manque de volonté de mon superviseur.

    Based on my personal experience, as an intern, I was "left alone" in the sense that I was given a job to do but my supervisor did not teach me much of the job (communications assistant) - maybe a lack of willingness from my supervisor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Payez vos stagiaires.

    Pay your interns

    I have been working at International Chamber of Commerce full-time for less than a year

    (Translated from English)

    Pros

    Beaucoup de responsabilités, les stagiaires sont considérés comme des employés et s’occupent du travail quotidien d’un travailleur ICC. On parle anglais la plupart du temps et on utilise aussi d’autres compétences linguistiques.

    Lots of responsibilities, interns are considered as employees and are dealing with the every-day work of an ICC worker. Speaking english most of the time and using other language skills too.

    Cons

    Aucune rémunération pour les stagiaires, l’essentiel du travail se fait sur ordinateur et téléphone.
    Beaucoup de stagiaires.

    No compensation for interns, most of the work is on computer and phone.
    Lot of interns

  7.

    Extrêmement bureaucratique, rythme très lent, avec peu d'incitations à s'améliorer Highly bureaucratic, slow-moving, with little incentives to do better

    I worked at International Chamber of Commerce as an intern for less than a year

    (Translated from English)

    Pros

    Le staff est sympathique, international et intéressant.
    On rencontre beaucoup de gens importants, même en tant que stagiaire.
    La mission est très intéressante.

    - Friendly, multi-national and interesting staff
    - You meet a lot of very important people, even as an intern
    - The mission is very interesting

    Cons

    - Everything moves very slow (projects, events, etc.)
    - The pay isn't what you'd think a prestigious organization should pay
    - Really, a lot of the time the project moves so slow, one ends up with too much time to do nothing
    - To get anything approved it takes forever due to the highly bureaucratic nature of the organization
