Pros
Nice workplace, leisure hours available. Good working conditions and nice amenities. The perks are the car plan and a superb medical assistance package.
Cons
The travel conditions going to the port side is the downside, it's not the company's fault but the logistics in which the company is placed at.
Advice to Senior Management
If you like laidback, good benefits and not too much stress, this is the company for you. THe only thing you have to adjust to is working near the city pier.
Pros
The company is handling the largest volume of export and import containers in the country. It is the largest container terminal operator in the country. The company is stable. It has good cash flow. The company has a good benefit package for its management.
Cons
The company, although it is stable and has a very great annual income is not generous in giving yearly increases to its management. It had not given a pay increase for last year and this year. It does not have a good strategy for promoting its employees as they do not want to offer a pay increase to its people. The company being a 24/7 operation requires its people to do shifting work. However, you just have to bear with that as that is the business requirement.
Advice to Senior Management
The senior management must be more affirming to their employees. They must have a good promotion strategy to their performing employees. Also, they must see to it, how they can retain their good employees as many are already resigning. They must also offer pay increases yearly for employees to be able to support their families. The inflation rate is getting higher but having no pay increase makes life more difficult for you.
Pros
The benefits we get is above par, and it is a very presitigous company to work with.
The career development was promising when I started, but later on, politics started to kick in.
Cons
The salary structure has not been changed for the longest time
No holiday pay/rest day duty pay/night differential for supervisors and up.
The compensated time off accumulated over the years cannot be converted to cash when you retire.
12 hour shift and no per hour extra pay after 8 hours work? C'mon?!
Advice to Senior Management
Pay what is due to your supervisors.
No more politics to get promoted!
