    Pros

Flexible work schedule Culture of innovation and leadership Truly exciting products Great employees Great benefits Truly ethnically diverse work environment Very good compensation

    Cons

It gets really hot in Las Vegas in the summer It gets really windy when it's not hot The water here is awful More experienced employees often complain too much Internet connections have too many ports closed off (IT is rightfully paranoid of attacks)

    Advice to Management

Management and direction at International Game Technology has been much criticized. Both internally and externally. There is a corporate culture that enables this criticism, and it does not reflect well on the company. The employees need to have more of a sense of pride in their company, and if they don't like it, quit first, and look for work second, or else keep criticisms to yourself. Whether it is in the break room or on a publicly accessible website, we do not need employees being critical of management which is faced with very difficult economic times. That time could be better spent in more productive ways. It's time to hunker down and get to work, not question leadership.

    Pros

Amazing benefits package! Had great co-workers as well as upper management. Many chances for advancement. I hope to see this company start to thrive as it once did. Which at the point the bonuses were fulfilling, as well as the recognition for employees.

    Cons

The lays off have been quite devastating...considering that is the fact I am not longer there. Sometimes if you don't know the right people you will be overlooked for a position you are most definitely qualified for.

    Advice to Management

Continue to recognize the employees that remain loyal and are still there.

    Pros

Great people and good work life balance. Overall good culture and enjoyable place to work. I would recommend as a place to work

    Cons

Unfortunately too much dead weight dragging this place down. Classic case of the 80/20 rule, 20% of the people do the work for the rest of the 80% and this is okay as long as the work gets down.

    Pros

The global leader in our industry Dynamic and motivating Sr. leadership Takes advantage of every opportuity to increase employee engagement Excellent benefit offerings Generous compensation packages Amazing on-site cafe and fitness center (No charge!!) Even a childcare center on-site in Reno.

    Cons

IGT, as an organization, is growing. Making huge strides internationally. With that growth comes opportunity, which affects some positively and others negatively. That being said, growth proved that there were many redundancies within the organization and, like many companies, IGT was forced to make change a few years back. Unfortunately that impacted many employees and their careers. Any time people are affected negatively, this can leave a bruise on an organizations reputation, leaving others to wonder if the organization is right for them to consider as a prospective next step in their career. Fortunately, with that change, brought new "captain's at the helm" which have worked tirelessly to polish IGT and keep it #1 in the industry :)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing! Employee engagement is up and there are better and more amazing opportunities at IGT than ever before. I look forward to many more years of continued contribution to our great comapny!
