Working in the Hotel Industry frequently requires long hours and unpredictable schedules.

    Pros

People come first, the company lives by its motto. Management does its best to honor and protect their employees. Good benefits, insurance, fairness, camaraderie. Fun place to work.

    Cons

    I don't know of any.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to honor your employees.

    Cons

The only con is that they are so large sometimes you get lost in the mix.

    Pros

Healthcare package is really good...if you can get your hours (30 a week).

    Cons

They cut hours in the winter at this hotel (Hampton Inn). That's to be expected in this area for the off season, but don't throw an employee party talking about how were all family and when the schedule comes out the next day it shows the opposite.

    Pros

PTO, sick time, insurance, and discounted room rates

    Cons

All they stress is cut labor, cut labor. Does not have the basic supplies to work worth. Frequently ran out of paper, toner, towels, etc. Nothing would ever be done about the hotels performing poorly under standards because all of the upper management are friends. Managers are rarely ever at work and don't work when they are there.

    Advice to Management

Hire better hotel managers and make sure that they are not friends with their regionals. The regional manager tends to turn a blind eye to his managers under performing ways. Nothing is ever done about it.

    Pros

Good pay and and good benefits if you can last 60 days before they fire you for nothing.

    Cons

They play favorites, don't train properly, and are incredibly stuck up. Every one of the leaders in the company obviously think they can do no wrong, ever.

    Advice to Management

Get your staff managers to train their employees properly and show some humble inclinations and respect for others.
