    Pros

    Great Benefits, Room For Growth, Multiple Shifts, Stable home life. Culture among-st the techs is great.

    Cons

    Training could use some improvement - more structure is needed. Get better free coffee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work on Refining Training and Making the Yearly reviews a little less murky.

    Pros

    Good benefits, flexible schedule, close to home

    Cons

    Work hard to do a good job & watch all sorts of people screwing off all day. People who do little to nothing seem to get promoted quickly. It doesn't matter that you do a great job, you will never get paid what you deserve unless you are one of the in group, who seem to be basically worthless as far as doing any kind of job. If you are good at what you do you get stuck in the position you're in because they won't let you move. They will hire a new worker with zero knowledge or experience with Intertek before promoting an employee who has been working with the company for years... Unfair practices. and of course they will blow smoke up your backside trying to convince you that the person was the best pick for the job, never mind that the person is a "friend" of the hiring dept manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start recognizing who the hard working people are and rewarding them with the salary they deserve. Start weeding out the waste. This company could be so much more than it is if it only had decent management. Even good managers have no power to make any significant changes. Stop putting people over departments they know nothing about nor do they care!

    Pros

    Working hours can be made flexible. Benefits are also quite good.

    Cons

    Way to many chiefs and not enough Indians. We have 7 layers of management in my department alone that do absolutely noting while the engineers and technicians work themselves to death.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take better care of the people that are making you wealthy. More appreciation, less finding fault to avoid raises.

    vacation time, benefits, client communication, and non-management co workers

    Cons

    If you do not live in Groton or belong to the boys club there is a ceiling over your head. If you do live in Groton or belong to the club opportunities await you! No experience, skills, or backbone needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Step outside Groton and look in. Well respected techs and engineers are leaving. In return, leaving you with a Smith Corona.

    lots of work and many hours 50-60

    Cons

    too many non degreed engineers and techs.........company is only interested in money and not integrity or professionalism
    As long as you went to high school with managers you do not need to have knowledge or skills...just be able to bill customers whether the testing was performed or not! sad but true!

    Co-workers are fantastic. Interesting and important work. Ability to travel. Variety in tasks.

    Cons

    Poor communication between management and staff. Salaries not too scale. No recognition of senority in pay. Training terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be HONEST and FAIR with staff. Bring salaries up to scale. Recognize loyalty in payscales. IMPROVE MORALE!
