Advice to Senior Management
N/A as Interwoven was acquired by Autonomy.
Pros
Pros would be:
Good pay, good benefits, Immediate mangers are understanding of employees needs, Provide feedback and encouragement, Good communication
Cons
Cons would be:
No opportunities for career growth. New CEO not that great. He sold interwoven to a company which is not concerned about well being of the product nor employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Should understand employees strong areas. Also provide opportunities for employees to work in different areas and get more exposure, thus making it learning experience
Pros
Senior and middle management are competent and would crush walls to get your deals done. The technology is great, benefits great and the perception in the market is a positive one.
Cons
Treatment of employees lacked in value. I was in sales which may taint my thoughts but it was like you were just another cog in the wheel
Advice to Senior Management
Postive reinforcement. And if you are not pleased with performance, sprinkle in some suggestions versus just criticism
Pros
Interesting company with interesting legal platforms.
Cons
Terrible micromanagment!!!!! The company employes intellegent people but they micromanage the intellegence out of them.
Advice to Senior Management
Get a clue and learn to value those under you.
Pros
Interwoven had some smart people and definitely had a good grasp on what legal customers needed. The legal side of Interwoven was a true powerhouse in their vertical industry.
Cons
The company was a bit lopsided in that the legal business provided half the revenue but got significantly less resources than the web content management side of the business. Benefits were below par and job titles were kept much lower on the legal side than they were on the WCM side.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide better benefits to your employees. Level the play field for job titles and career advancement across the two sides of the business.
Pros
Best place to balance personal to work life
Cons
not a lot at Interwoven ...
Advice to Senior Management
hmm.. Aquisition by Autonomy is bad for the employees
Pros
Was a good place to work. Balanced life and work, the business was growing, co-workers were nice to each other.
Cons
The culture is totally changed after the acquisition. The new culture favors aggressive working style. The future of the product line is not communicated well to employees.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice. Different management styles may work in different situations. Until now, there is no enough indicator if the current management style would work or not.
