I worked at Inteva Products
Pros – Small company feel with global footprint. Often times feels like a family run organization. Very supportive management structure until the money ran out. Did not protest unemployment.
Cons – The talk is often like that of a deep pocket conglomerate. In action they are unable to meet their financial obligations on time. While sales communication was very forthcoming, the true financial situation of the company was never shared with employees. As they laid off more than a third of their work force, they did it in such a way so they didn't have to report it to the state of Michigan. If they ever get back on their feet, pay their bills, and try to get a reputation back they will be a good company just not trust worthy on telling the truth about their finances.
Advice to Senior Management – Your word is your bond. As a company you have weathered the downturn in the auto industry but it has cost you everything in terms of reputation. Pay your bills and get back in the good graces of your suppliers. The good people you laid off in management have told your story and it's not a pretty one. You have a good company, now re-establish your reputation.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Inteva Products
Pros – Friendly work environment. Great opportunity to do real hands-on work / creative work…. Not just boring production changes. Management doesn’t rule with an iron-fist
Cons – Pay is pretty poor. Good luck getting hired in direct.
Advice to Senior Management – I know your trying to cut costs/budget, but pay your good employees what they are worth. Also focus a little more time, energy, and most importantly money in non-automotive projects

I have been working at Inteva Products
Pros – Flexibility
Small company - get to know the execs on a first name basis
Oppurtunity for advancement
Cons – Long hours and days
Not alot of people resources
Very cheap (old computers/buildings)
Still think like old auto company
expect you to work 24/7
Advice to Senior Management – The leadership is solid in some depts but most have never been top level execs and therefore tend to micromanage also a level of secrecy as in how to become executive or manager
