Current Employee – been working at IntraLinks
Pros – Great opportunities depending on who your manager is.
Cons – Staff will get laid off or leave every quarter.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop turning over the workforce- there is only so many times you can rearrange sales people and territories before it blows up.

Current Employee – been working at IntraLinks
Pros – Generally a good group of people "in the trenches", good name recognition in the vertical markets the company plays in.
Cons – reorgs every 6 months, constant RIFs, knowledgeable people with 10+ years of experience let go because of internal politics, constant reduction in benefits (health care, etc) every year, rampant cronyism. Company change direction on a dime and months of work can be scrapped with little or no explanation. The culture has really changed to the point of being toxic
Advice to Senior Management – I should never have 6 managers in the span of 2 years, enough with the reorgs already. The culture of IntraLinks used to be great, its now beyond repair.

Former Employee – worked at IntraLinks
Pros – The pay is reasonable, but depending on your department you can be overwhelmed by the workload. The location in New York is outstanding.
Cons – Lack of cohesive strategy. Favoritism. The moral sucks.. over the past 24 months.. the number of good people that have left or have been "laid off" is telling.. A degree of empire building is taking place within..
Advice to Senior Management – Wake up.. Who's in charge? Where is the company going? IPO... are you kidding who cares about a 1 trick pony SaaS company.

Former Employee – worked at IntraLinks
Pros – Salaries, some of the people, strong product, market leader, very exciting time for the company - exciting to be part of it
Cons – Benefits are not easy to use (difference card, etc.), too much backstabbing, no ownership, location, senior management, too many changes
Advice to Senior Management – Stop making changes every 6 months - really need to make a plan and let it work - the constant changes are confusing and frustrating to all. Plus no one has a sense of stability for their day-to-day work or having a job tomorrow.

Pros – Fun job - get to work with very smart clients and always learning about new technology that IntraLinks creates. Some technology is new to the world, which is exciting!
Cons – Management team has no idea what they are doing. They have embarrassed themselves in front of customers to the point of being escorted out of clients by security. They changed the company culture from fun to fearful in a matter of months. The commission drastically was cut at the beginning of this year. Management is breathing down your neck for results.
Advice to Senior Management – Get a new head of sales in place and turn the company around before it is too late and it is run into the ground! Reinstate the fun culture so that you have more employees that care about what they are doing every day!

Former Employee – worked at IntraLinks
Pros – Cutting edge industry and technology, determined, ambitious staff
Cons – Wrong people were retained, elevated
Advice to Senior Management – Better assess who contributes to the bottom line, not who will maintain status quo

Current Employee – been working at IntraLinks
Pros – Good pay, good benefits, my client services director is a great boss. Monthly bonus is easy to acheive and is a good amount.
Cons – No opportunity for growth. I've been a top CSR for 3 years, and haven't had any opportunity for growth. Also, going through our current reorganization leaves me worried that client services is headed in the right direction. We were recently swallowed up by the operations department, and I have no confidence in that branch of the company.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't let operations run client services. Don't forget about the customer. Treat employees better. Leave operations out of client services.

Former Employee – worked at IntraLinks
Pros – Higher than average salaries. A challenging work environment.
Cons – Vulnerable to the current M&A slowdown. In many departments, promotion from within isn't encouraged, and sometimes even discouraged. No real career development program in place, (either formally or informally).
Advice to Senior Management – Question others and think things through before making decisions or taking action.

Pros – The pay is above industry average. They offer an excellent work life balance. It is pretty easy to advance within a year. If senior management likes you enough, you will move up fast.
Cons – The biggest problem would be the bold discrimination that goes on. Ex. a black female, trilingual with an MBA from a very good school had the same position as an english speaking white male, who dropped out of college his freshman year. The employee handbook states that no senior management can refer individuals for employment, yet a director's high school friend was walked right in. Or if you don't mind having the same position as someone entry level, that clearly lied on his resume, then you have found your match. If favoritism and sexism don't bother you, then Intralinks is the place for you.
Advice to Senior Management – Not all of Senior Management is bad, some of them actually understand that management is supposed to display leadership instead of being a bully. Think twice about the message you send out when you break "corporate rules". A small alarm needs to go off in your head when a female with an MBA has the same position as a male that dropped out of college. Every company has its dirt, but you should at least have the pride to cover it up a bit more.

Former Employee – worked at IntraLinks
Pros – Excellent team to work with. Challenging Saas environment. Highest expectation of work throuhgout, filled with help from management to make sure you get there. Open environment, have had many candid conversations with management at all levels.
Cons – Sometimes too many cooks in the kitchen.
Advice to Senior Management – Use the current cash cows as such and invest elsewhere! Be careful with canibalizing the team that you built since inception.
