    Pros

New CEO and senior leadership breathing fresh life into the company.
We need to our grow our old habits and look forward to the future.
*Everyone* needs to work more cross-functionally and collaboratively, and be held accountable. I feel like we are on a good path.

    Cons

Former management style didn't lend itself to clear business strategies that were clearly communicated throughout the company. We have new leadership and I see this changing. Please keep spreading the word and ensuring that everyone is on the same trajectory.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

2012 has started out with more clear communication about the company direction and goals. As an employee, this is critical to our success. Set the expectations and hold people accountable. Continue with positive career and professional development programs that have recently launched and help us make this a great(er) place to work.

    Pros

Interesting technology. Potential for interesting customer interaction. High customer satisfaction. Many smart people at lower levels and line management.

    Cons

Highly political. Sales-run org. Helm more energy and spirit than substance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire experts and listen to them. Don't "be an expert" in areas you have no knowledge of.

    Pros

Sales Management has a clear vision of where the company should go - great growth and a 'buzz'.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the product side is conservative and pretty incompetent, so the company's prospects are limited.
HR is incompetent - it also encourages a culture of petty internal politics and cattiness - not pleasant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change HR management and get someone competent and without attitude.
Change Priduct management/Engineering to actually produce new ground-breaking products before the market makes you irrelevant.

    I worked at Intralinks

    Pros

In the beginning it was an innovative and exciting place to be

    Cons

Once the company strarted to grow, camps were set up by the CEO and then, Head of Sales. Their interests were selfish and financially driven at the expense of the employees. "Pad the pocketbook!" was the order of the day for these folks. Now everyone has left including one of the culprits. Only the CEO remains and I would imagine his days are numbered as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. Don't work there anymore..praise God!

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Great office location in NYC

    Cons

    - VP of Sales has no clue what he is doing and manages by fear
    - Poor Sales leadership has led to mass defections
    - Not sure you have anyone who cares anymore
    - Culture is fear based

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the VP of Sales and find someone who will earn the respect of the team. Hopefully it's not too late.
