One of the best companies I ever worked at.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat Work/Life balance. decent pay. People are great. Relaxed/casual environment as far as work attire, which is great.

ConsMore flexibility on schedules. Some managers never did entry level work and have no idea on how it is done.

Not as good as it seems.

Senior Network Engineer (Former Employee)
San Diego, CA

I worked at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat benefits, nice campus, good location.

ConsFalse sense of corporate. Core company values aren't actually followed. Too many people working there to simply CYA.

Advice to Senior ManagementOverhaul and get rid of 70% of the middle managers who are there just getting in the way of getting things done.

Poor management driving company into the ground

Marketing (Current Employee)
Mountain View, CA

I have been working at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGym, cafeteria, compensation, on-site Starbucks

ConsThe work environment is not conducive to the job at hand

Management put themselves above the team and creates a culture where it’s ‘us' or 'them'

Highly political

Lack of transparency from management

There's so much red tape, it takes a year to figure out what the right avenues are to problem-solve solutions

No room for advancement, the instability creates a feeling of constant insecurity

Advice to Senior ManagementPoor management can ruin even the most passionate and well-paid employees who love their job. Don’t let your awful management and leadership ruin the drive of your workforce.

Measuring people on how well they behave ethically when compared to the organizations code of conduct and how well they behave compared to stated values in a absolute must.

Good company

Finance (Current Employee)
Mountain View, CA

I have been working at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

ProsIntuit values employees and you see that in day-to-day actions. A very caring company that pays well and offers fantastic "total rewards" including fitness reimbursement, heavily discounted healthy lunches, and generous bonus packages.

ConsVery much a powerpoint culture. Too internal focused and not enough on the external market

Advice to Senior ManagementAsk the right questions. It's so easy to manipulate Sr. Management by presenting misleading data, so the focus becomes more on internal marketing rather than solving for the customer.

A great learning experience

Software Engineer II (Current Employee)
Plano, TX

I have been working at Intuit full-time for more than a year

ProsThis is my first job after my Masters and I thoroughly enjoy my job. You get to come up with your own ideas and implement them. Agile development process is real good.

We also get 10% of the time that we can use on the projects we like.

ConsThere are no real down sides as such that I can find. Probably we can have better food in cafeteria !!

Staff Engineer

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat place to work and good people company. good benefits such as medical, heath, transport. Very stable employer with no fast growth or slowdown.

ConsLots of non technical people around that will slow down your growth. Company is growing at steady pace unlike status. Expensive cafe, better bring your own lunch. No much social meet ups or hackathons.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease help technical folks drive the decision.
