Pros
- Good work life balance
- Experimentation Culture
- Moderate Risk Taking
Cons
- Too many employees have been there for too long...stalling innovation
- Mgmt is thin on those who understand technology
- Limited view of the global market - still only see the us market for growth, doesn't make sense...
Advice to Senior Management
Get real about the type of leadership you need for the next phase of growth
Pros
Work infrastructure and employee benefits
Cons
Need to be serious with the market. Success is not available overnight.
Advice to Senior Management
Need for a strong product base as well as strategy
Pros
Pay was okay. They provided lunch often.
Cons
Middle management is rude and go out of their way to belittle staff same. Employees not determined upon the best stats, rather who lathers the supervisors with the most praise. Co-workers disconnect customers. Middle management is aware of agents dismissing customers yet, these people are rewarded because they make their supervisors look good. They monitor everything you including this web site to make themselves look great. Notice for every negative comment there is at least 2 or 3 that state how wonderful the company is. When in actuality many customers are dissatisfied because it takes 2 - 3 calls to get there issues resolved. It’s all about politics not the how well the job is performed!
Pros
Good Pay,
Good Benefits
Decent Bonus
Cons
There is NO work/life balance (It's amazing that they defy their own mantra).
Incompetent QA Managers
Lack of direction from managment
Chaos in product process
Extremely two-faced environment
Over-confident, but mediocre developers
Advice to Senior Management
Review Management performance. Fire those using PIP as a tool to release intelligent employees due to personality clicks.
Pros
Fun place to work, great employees who really know how to do their job. Competent management who treats people with respect and care. A GREAT company to work for.
Cons
Can get overlooked and get caught in the "big company" mentality.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't overlook the importance of the front line employees.
Pros
Work Culture.Laid back attitude. Flexible workplace
Cons
Not much communication higher up.
Pros
Salary and commission absolutely the best when compared to other similiar telesales centers
Incredible benefits package
Leaders remove barriers and make work easy
Customer's opinions count...feedback is acted on
Empowerment within understandable guidelines and guardrails
Communication...using employee councils to vet ideas and discuss decisions
The people
Cons
Pockets of coportate politics sometimes make it difficult to work across groups quickly
Not all customer facing groups value customer feedback and experience the same....the technical support leaders have a lot to learn and processes to handle customer complaints need to be revamped immediately.
Pros
The pay at Intuit is very competitive and the benefits are the best. The company often provides meals when you are asked to work long hours (which is frequent). They have very good education programs and you will learn a great deal working at Intuit. It is an ideal job for someone just entering the job market. Most of the people working there are fantastic and fun to be around. You'll probably create friendships for your life.
Cons
The management at Intuit expects impossible deadlines, and usually will not resource a project to its needs. They expect everyone to work extra hours and 15-hour days are not uncommon. Many projects are started, and then canceled. This is called "swing-and-miss" and is part of the culture, so get used to it. There is a unique language specific to the company that everyone must learn.
Advice to Senior Management
Do a better job of rewarding employees even when a project is canceled. Work harder at keeping jobs in the US because this is where the revenue is for the company. Taking revenue from US and moving jobs offshore is not a good match. Your global strategy should be to build global products rather than hire cheaper labor.
Pros
Great at working with employees to maintain work-life balance.
Great Benefits.
Great people.
Cons
Salary - Left the company and discovered that I could make upwards of 20% more with a different company.
Leadership is poor, especially at the Senior Manager and Director level.
Management is not transparent with information to employees, although they profess to be.
Management says one thing, and does the opposite.
Advice to Senior Management
Practice what you preach....really.
Pros
Innovative culture, internal mobility, adoption of newer technology
Cons
Some teams are underrated who are not directly involve in products like the support team for whom the client are internal customers
