I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really laid back environment and manager's are easy to talk to about concerns. They have a great bonus system and tend to hire top performers which makes going to work much better when you have people doing their share of the work.

    Cons

Would be nice to have a food credit for at least one of the meals.

    Advice to Management

Hire up management should spend a little more time with lower employees in a one on one meeting - lunch or just a casual meeting over coffee and a bagel..

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Culture is great. Very, very smart people. Not highly political. Strategy is getting better every year - clearer and more focused.

    Cons

Technology and infrastructure is old and makes getting things done very hard. Not investing enough to fix this and it slows us down. Constant reorgs and layoffs.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in tech.

I have been working at Intuit full-time

    Pros

Best Benefits, Mountain View campus is great, nice people, great work life balance, focused goals.

    Cons

Key people leaving, less emphasis on what's good for the customer, products deteriorating due to loss of key people and more focus on generating revenue.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on delivering better products than delivering ways to generate more money.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits with a wonderful work environment with good over pay. Very family focused and flexible. They care deeply about their customers and put a lot of money into learning more about the customers needs. It's true.

    Cons

They need more products to give the retail customers so they can keep growing and keep the clients happy and comfortable. Also provide small businesses ways to market and grow their business within the software

    Advice to Management

Move people around to different roles so people can experience all Intuit has to offer. More career training is much needed for future growth.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are excellent, including the best vision coverage I've ever heard of, and the environment is dynamic and positive.

    Cons

I worked for the website division, which they bought with the intent to use it as a "front door" to their other products, but they could never really figure out how to make that work, so they sold it.

    Pros

your have a lot of good and knowledgable people to work with

    Cons

you don't get to focus into an area b/c things shift way too often.

    Advice to Management

let people work on something to completion and maintain for a little while.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits: Dental, medical, vision, 401k, tuition reimbursement of $5k per year, pet insurance discounts, stock purchase discounts, etc. The call center is better than most.

    Cons

They do require yearly biometric screenings for discounts on medical insurance, which can also be listed as a "pro". Although for the needle nervous Nelly, can be daunting. Also, don't go on the last 1-3 days to the phlebotomist office, it will take at least an hour!

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring the individual who kisses up the most! Honest work is not solely networking.

    Pros

Good work life balance; Good people working around you; in the unit that I am, they have excellent people managers. Very good senior leaders who care deeply about the culture of the work place. They recently fixed their immigration GC policies.

    Cons

    1. Conservative company in terms of investing on innovation. They don't pay as much as google or Facebook; consequently the talent you end up getting is not at the same level. 2. Great place to work if you are above 35 or 40 and you care about being around awesome people; but instead if your priority is career growth, instead look for a start up.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good products On-Site Gym and Cafe Great facility Great co-workers Great benefits

    Cons

Intuit recently went through several rounds of a RIF (reduction in force). It's obvious that employees with high tenure were selected - most with 10+ years. Politics have begun to run rampant - especially within IT. The current SVP of IT has created an environment of fear, uncertainty and doubt.

    Advice to Management

Look real hard at what you have created and what the supposed value proposition is, you've strayed from that path. Brad, the CEO says all the right things and I honestly believe in him however he appears to have a blind spot in the IT organization.
