I have been working at Intuit full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits and salary is leveraged by Intuit to get and retain top talent. The company is focused on ensuring employees have what they need to get the job done and creates a supportive environment.

    Cons

I'm sure this is the same with any company - it matters who your boss is though I've had better mangers than not at Intuit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work as most people are happy!

I have been working at Intuit full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company takes care of its employees. They are customer focused and give opportunities to employees to share there innovative thoughts on product development or new product development.

    Cons

It is a fast paced environment. If you are accustomed to working with deadlines and working the hours it takes to meet those deadlines, this is a fit for you. If not, you will struggle keeping up with the workload.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider more opportunities to work remotely or from home. The company would then truly reduce the carbon footprint and work-life balance. When considered remote employees, the expectations should be that you don't expect them to be in the office everyday and jabber connections are adequate to communicate so long as the work is aligned and at a high caliber.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Intuit

    Pros

Benefits are awesome. Pay is better than average. Challenging during tax season, but well worth it. Employees are encouraged to get out in the community and volunteer.

    Cons

Company says it values the employees opinions, but when you tell the truth, you are threatened. Management (in some departments) doesn't follow the company's 'Integrity without compromise' value which is unfair to the employees. Employees that get the work done are not valued, but those that slack off and do nothing are given more privileges.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actions speak louder than words. Look at how you are treating the employee before judging the person's how. Don't let one mistake from years ago prevent a person from moving forward in their career.

I have been working at Intuit full-time

    Pros

great benefits (great 401k matching, health, vision, employee stock purchase), flexible hours (in some groups), fitness benefit, smart people

    Cons

highly political organization to navigate, hard to get stuff done sometimes, even things like getting access to systems, there seems to be a massive org change every year that really affects morale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

management can do a much better job of communicating change. it's not clear how decisions get made around here. in a recent layoff, we lost some great team members where the managers were just instructed to "execute".

I have been working at Intuit

    Pros

Lotsa Technically good people. Great products

    Cons

Too much restructuring, you dont know when they may axe you. Also, if the managers did n't like you, they can easily give you bad reviews and throw you in a hole.

I worked at Intuit full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Original Mint team was very creative and full of bright staff

    Cons

Priorities are not well defined. senior management loses focus way too often. Bad decision making and lack of vision from senior managers impacts morale of individual contributors in a negative way. Low morale all over. Frequent layoffs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think twice before you step into a new direction. Don't take career of individual contributors for granted.
