    Pros

Employee benefits are good and that's pretty much it.

    Cons

Very political environment, a lot of hierarchy. Job outsourcing is rampant, positions are sent to India for cheap labor costs.

    I worked at Intuit full-time

    Pros

Fun environment, helpful about developing in the company.

    Cons

They get higher managers from outside the company, which can be very frustrating.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to internal talent.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to work, great atmosphere, great benefits and a pleasure to go to work. I really enjoyed my time with them and appreciate everything I learned from them.

    Cons

My only problem was the constant re-organizations that they would have. The constant fear of losing your job every July really can put a lot of unwanted stress on the employees. A re-organization isn't going to work if time isn't given for it to be successful. Find a plan give it 3 years and then decide whether or not a re-organization is worth it.

    Advice to Management

Don't say "it's all about the people" when it really isn't. I loved the company and the job but never quite understood. Don't just state your values and hope other people live by them. Make sure you live by them too.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employee experience at Intuit was wonderful.

    Cons

Demandforce is a mess, from top to bottom. I suspect the company will be dismantled or implode within a few years

    Advice to Management

If you want to save Demandforce, you really need to start fresh, instead of keeping the old mid-level management in place. The product is no longer competitive, and you aren't approaching SaaS properly

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - good benefits - world-class customer empathy - excellent CEO - chance to work on widely-used products/services

    Cons

    - power struggles between the CTO organization and business units - a review process that depends more on politics and internal smoozing than actual results

    Advice to Management

    - hold the CTO organization more accountable for delivering results and solutions that business units can actually use - refine the acquisition process to filter out losers before the deal is struck - promote more technically competent leaders into GM ranks

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Generous compensation, lots of free food, good benefits.

    Cons

Management changes frequently, direction changes constantly, and there are layoffs in one part of Intuit or another during the summer every year.

    Advice to Management

Play a longer game. It takes time for initiatives to bear fruit.
