I worked at Irevna full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

A good starting point for a completely novice in equity research. Usually work life balance is reasonable. Job security is also there to an extent.

    Cons

Compensation is very poor which has been going southward continuously. Employee's prior experience and his interests are of least importance as it is a KPO so you are expected to serve the client keeping your mouth shut and even bearing the client's abuses in some cases. Career opportunity is very pathetic as management wants you to leave the company after 2-3 years. It's a company with 60% workforce having less than 2 years of experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to compromise on quality. Though your belief is that everybody is dispensable, you should start considering them as your assets because that is the only thing you have.

    Pros

Good place to learn technical skills, typical kpo

    Cons

limited career opportunities, good work means long hours essentially, work flow, style, type and quality mostly dependent on analyst with whom one is associated

I have been working at Irevna full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is appropriate for the people who are fresh out of college, starting out in equity research and who dont know much about the field. It is filled with loads of experienced people with a helping nature. The organisation structure is pretty flat and the company follows an open culture with stress on meritocracy.

    Cons

Being a KPO, it will be void of the exposure you get at the front-end equity research. Additionally, after you've spent some time in the organisation, you're expected to do additonal work apart from your assigned sector/role which is quite annoying. This additional work culture is prevalent right uptil the upper management and is difficult to rid oneself off.

    Pros

Its very demanding but the same time it is very rewarding in terms of learning experience. If you are a chartered accountant, then probably you could get good exposure here

    Cons

Sometimes, you have to put in long hours. It really depends on which team you get placed into. Research Analysts usually deal with client support.

    Cons

"Clash of cultures" - you have to deal with some distinct disadvantages arising from the fact, that you would work for an Indian company, and all important business decisions are made overseas. Also, company tend not to invest in its employees - new employees' renumeration is closer to market standards in Wroc?aw.
