I worked at J. C. Penney
Pros – working with hard working people. good energy and support from fellow workers.
Cons – stodgy. to change anything is like turning a battleship. stuck in yesterday.
Advice to Senior Management – show more respect to employee's. stop trying to motivate with childish reward programs. like a candy bar . please..spend some money on your employee's. potlucks??? come on...spend a little on these hard working people!! and be open to suggestions. you pay so little and get so much. it's like a revolving door as far as hiring. your lucky to get the kind of people you get and yet show so little respect. people that have worked there for 20 years as staff make nothing compared to floor managment and they don't make that much unless your store manager.it was difficult to watch how hard and the crazy hours floor staff worked for 8-12 dollars an hr. a floor employee's barely survive on the low wages this co. offers.doesn't make you proud to work for this co.
