Good training, learned a lot about retail. Great if you want to go on to be a store manager!

    Cons

The store had never had an intern before so they did not have a lot of work for me to do

    Pros

Lots of hours and pretty flexible, especially around holidays.
Laid back environment most of the time.
Lots of standing around at times, both a good and a bad thing.
If you like to buy clothes you will get a good discount and always be aware of what is on clearance! "I'm stocked on dress shirts, ties, and pants for life.
If you work hard there is opportunity for advancement as it is a large company.

    Cons

    Pay is pretty lousy.
Can be hard to fill your time some days and nonstop the next day.

    Advice to Management

It is hard to keep good employees around with low pay, but that is retail.

    Pros

Good crew weekly Mgt meetings, most of the team were on the same page at the same time

    Cons

Low pay rate as a key carrying dept. mgr. retail hours and barely able to make a 40 hr. work week yet seemed to be there all the time.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the foundation of your company! Don't forget your founding principles! Ie... Your clients and basic store employees ARE YOUR FOUNDATION if you can't compensate the employees they don't care about the client, and if you aren't affering good value and service to the client then they either become aggressive or hostile

    Pros

Depends on location for pros and cons. Make sure you apply to a store that looks organized

    Cons

Blackout dates where you cannot request time off, messy store, take favorites depending on who gets a lot of credit card applications, very unorganized

    Pros

    Co-Workers are great hardworking people.

    Cons

Company increases prices almost daily to advertise a 20% off sale. Over 500 sales running and only 52 weeks in the year. They cannot keep up with their own prices. The employees are held accountable for accurate pricing. You will almost never find an accurate price in that store. One pay increase over the past 3 years to employees because the company had no incentive plan in place for performance or salary evaluations.

    Advice to Management

    Declare Bankruptcy Already
