    Pros

    The emphasis on customer experience and overall satisfaction vs. just selling products is a huge benefit. With less stress on having to hit certain thresholds, people can focus on assisting the customer with respect.

    Cons

    Lack of company follow through on attendance issues and mediocre training. Most of the job functions are learned on the floor and not during the formal 8 hour training/orientation.

    Advice to Management

    My only advice to management would be to talk and understand your team as much as you can. Let them see you doing the work you expect at the level you expect them to preform. Be empathetic and trusting. Cultivate an environment where creativity can thrive.

    25% discount and other discounts on top of that

    Cons

    Management drills these rules & policies into our heads, but breaks them for any customer who calls them over -.-

    Advice to Management

    Get it together and follow your own rules please. I understand you want to please every customer, but it makes the sales employees look bad

    good discount for employees. good compensation for management.

    Pros

    Work life balance was always something I valued as a management person. Not always the case on the lower levels

    Cons

    Lots of current turn oil within the organization. A lot of uncertainty and organizational changes have led to loss of jobs.

    Pros

    I gained a lot if experience as a sales associate. They were flexible with my school schedule and it gave me a good understanding of of the basics of customer service and retail.

    Cons

    Opportunities to move up were limited at the time.

    Pros

    Working for Jc penney can get your foot in the door for other customer service jobs.

    Cons

    I worked on commissions so it was very dog eat dog. Also pushing credit put alot of pressure on the employees.

    Advice to Management

    stop pushing credit on the employees.
