    Pros

decent starting pay, decent employee discount, great people to work with, very great and serious visual team, very good at moving the right people up in the company

    Cons

they recently took away commission without addressing the entire company. i no longer have an incentive to sell. they pay men way more even though the women there work a lot harder. they are currently paying a man younger than me with way less experience 1.50 more than me per hour. they keep a lot of secrets. management does a lot of hush hush things without addressing the entire team. they don't promote enough back people. theres not enough cultural diversity in corporate or the management teams at all of the new york city locations. they also play favorites

    Advice to Management

you need equal wages also you need to bring commission back.

    Pros

Worked with a great team, the call center I worked at was amazing and had many promotions in my favor.

    Cons

    J. Crew would often time hire over-zealous and less than amusing people who thought they new a lot.
One of the more unfortunate parts of my job here involved correcting behavior from people who shouldn't have been hired in the first place.

    Advice to Management

    Step up your screening process.

    Pros

Great work environment. Everyone is interested in fashion/style in some capacity but the New York locations bring in a lot of people aspiring to work in other fields which is interesting.

    Cons

Folding clothing definitely gets boring. It's hard to get on board with needing to make a stack of pants look perfect when they're going to get messed up in ten minutes the next day.
