    Pay should be increased with more opportunity for a raise or promotion. Associates should be given better styling training so there is not such a large gap between abilities of associates and personal stylists.

    Pros

    I worked for J.Crew for about 3 years and the environment was always a positive one. You get great perks like awesome employee discounts for working there and you get rewarded (individually and as a store) for meeting goals.

    I have nothing bad to say about working for J.Crew.

    Be sure to keep your employees excited about the brand and well informed about new sales and clothing. Also, constant communication matters a lot in retail since things are constantly changing (clothing styles, sales, floor sets).

    I love it here. They are very organized and professional. They have great employees and my managers are awesome. One of the best retail job's I've ever had. Love the product too, they are quality.

    I do not have much to say about the cons of working here so far, but I guess they could improve the J.Crew credit card to be more beneficial.

    Pros

    To gain a thorough understanding of the retail business. J.Crew is a great company to work for. The clothing and designs are good quality and very creative.

    Cons

    At the particular J.Crew location I worked at the manager was letting personal issues affect her professional work environment. This had been a problem for some time and so after multiple employees spoke to upper management the issue was taken care of.

    Upper management was relatable and easy to talk to about any problems encountered. They also effectively handled over-bearing customers who looked to take advantage of employees.

    They have thought of every kind of discount for their employee, its great. No reason not to wear the brand, its affordable. Co workers were so awesome to work with. Always worked with you on helping you have a schedule that works for you regarding school/kids/2nd jobs.

    On-calls, not enough hours (always asking for more), they need to really implement register training
