    Pros

Beer discount, some great people, good benefits

    Cons

Communication is a huge problem. Work schedule not flexible at all. Company Culture is terrible, lots of gossip and blame happening. Some of the sales force just can't seem to make it work and stay organized. I felt like many of my requirements in my position were very superficial and gender-stereotyped.

    Advice to Management

    Be nicer to EVERYone

    Pros

Not many, great customers, fun product to sell, leadership is joke

    Cons

Terrible culture, wouldn't recommend working here. They just let a person go with six years of service to the company and gave him three weeks pay and out the door let go due to slow economy, not even a weeks severance for time on the job!

    Advice to Management

Buy a mirror, lack of positive culture starts at the top

    Pros

Pay is great, benefits are awesome, HR team are really in tune with everyone. Discounts on beer, events are great. Flexible hours, super understanding leadership, and the right people in place to do the right job. My best work experience to date. Team mentality is amazing, I feel like family.

    Cons

Unfounded problems, rumors, and problems that either don't exist or are exaggerated, are too quickly used by other team members to get people in trouble with senior leadership. People not in your department in higher positions have the tendency to boss you around. Things you have said in confidence are manipulated in the future to the benefit of someone you barely know in a leadership capacity. Hyper-political work environment, jobs are given to those that the most liked, and are chosen before hand.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, keep it simple, listen to the facts, watch the trends of employees that work up the courage to go to HR and say something, listen to those people that do.

    Pros

The best part were the other employees and the pay was decent.

    Cons

Underappreciated by management. Also, my experience with a handful of employees was horrific! They would talk about you behind your back, and run to management with unfounded complaints. It made my experience a living hell, and that has never happened to me in all my many years of working for various companies.

    Advice to Management

Take more to time to evaluate and appreciate the members of your team.

    Pros

J.J. Taylor is a company that is ever changing and growing. The owner sees the importance of caring for the employees and provides great benefits. Managers are working managers and right there in the trenches with employees. The company invests in leading edge technologies like CNG trucks, automated systems and programs.

    Cons

Change is sometimes hard for employees who have been around for a long time. The beer industry is a tough one and requires hard work and work around beer drinking holidays, which are most holidays!

    Advice to Management

Communication and teamwork between departments is so important and could be improved. Also, continue to invest in training, specifically for managers to raise the bar.

    Pros

I have worked in this industry for over 25 years with this company over fifteen. This company has grown in leaps and bounds. Yet manages to keep in touch with it's most important asset, the employees that make it great. We are not just a number here we are an extended family. Our employee benefits are among the best in the industry. Our management makes every effort to accommodate for all situations that comes along in life. J J Taylor puts forth the effort to ensure we have a stable safe work environment. J J Taylor keeps up with the latest automation and is continuously improving as technology advances. Yet keeping their employees job security intact. Our pay is very competitive and fair. Over the years of changes and growing pains I still stand firm that this company was and is the best career move I made.

    Cons

It is hard work and long hours. You must put forth an effort in this business regardless of automation.

    Advice to Management

Continue to include your team on major changes to our working environment. Keeping in mind that sometimes things that work at the numbers and paper level are not capable of being implemented at the brick and mortar level.
