I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You have the opportunity to meet great people. People who take the time to understand you as a person, your dreams, as well as your skills. If you are a strong networker, you definitely have the ability to open doors for yourself here. The benefits & hours are reasonable. Company culture is empowering with the right kind of senior leadership above you. It is definitely a big name to have on your resume if you are into that.

    Cons

Under the wrong kind of senior leadership you will not be recognized for your skills, accomplishments, or even for your potential to grow as an employee at JPMorgan. You will be treated as just a resource for their profit making business. The pay is below average and they will upfront in telling you that you should not expect any huge jump in salary after a promotion. There are several poor managers who do not take the time to develop their team. There is a lack of consistent leadership across the organization which bring a lot of tension within JPMorgan employees and not the Chase side. There is still a clear difference in how each entity develops their employees and leadership.

    Advice to Management

Advice to JPMorgan. Develop your managers who can see the big picture. Develop senior leadership who have integrity when conducting business & location strategy. Be transparent. Be open to suggestions to improve in the right ethnical way. Take up some leadership advice from the Chase side. Give your employees a chance to reach their potential and to be recognized for their accomplishments

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, 401K, generous paid time off

    Cons

Hedge fund services turnover is really high. Management is aware of the issue but ignores it. Expect 12-14 hour day shifts 6 six days a week due to understaffing.

    Advice to Management

Stop complaining about employees leaving the company, there are talented people willing to commit in exchange for reasonable pay and work hours.
