    Cons

Work hours can be unsuitable, You may not always get the shift you prefer or the days off that you prefer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the company provides good benefits and I would encourage the higher management to keep up the good work. I am very impressed by the training programme in place.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good training provided at the time of joining, good amount of annual day-offs, flexible timings, work from home allowed

    Cons

Place can be a bit dull as not many freshers join, most of the time the environment is pretty serious. No team outings, refreshment zones are also not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more team building activities, make more committees that are of people's leisure interests, have at least 2 team outings a year. More transparent awards.

    Pros

Good compensation and bonus, cross-functional, resources used efficiently, good learning workculture

    Cons

Rigorous, competitive, challenging. Some colleagues could be difficult to work with given the work-culture and pressure on getting things done quickly or for imposing their influence

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should work to reduce the hype around IB to make it much friendlier workplace

    I worked at J.P. Morgan

    Pros

What a great organisation to work for. WOW!!!!. I am what I am because of the opportunities JPMC provided to me and the great managers I had.
I joined JPMC India in 2003 and left in 2009 end and when I joined we were just a bunch of 500 odd people. Saw the company grow in size to 10000+ by the time I left.
I worked in IT team and it was nothing but a second family for all of us, we were all knitted together and being in different organisations now, we are still in touch.
I actually had a "career" with JPMC and not just another "Job".

    Cons

When the organisation grew in size, the management changed a lot and it became more and more frictional (still was better than my experiences prior to JPMC).
Policy consistency is what I feel is lacking with JPMC.
Lot of dotted line reporting, make room for "chamchagiri" and is somewhat ruining the otherwise excellent environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Policy consistency.
Reduce the number of dotted line reportings, this is actually encouraging "chamchagiri" and is saddening some of the right managers.

    Pros

    Pays really well.
25% Bonus paid this January 2015.
    Healthy Competition.

    Cons

No work life balance at all.
    Favouritism is rampant.
Management only has problem statement and timelines; without even a solution. If solution requires more time, no work life balance all year round!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have realistic goals.
    Dont treat employees like donkeys.

    Pros

Brilliant training is provided to the fresh college pass outs.Smooth transition to the corporate world. Flexible work timings with a good work culture.

    Cons

It is not that easy to switch internally. Meaning it is difficult to change teams or projects after you have been assigned to one when you join immediately after college.
