I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work you get is good, lot of technical challenges that helps in learning and growth. All kinds of tools and application are available to try hands on and learn. Salary and bonus are good. No strict punch in and punch out hour count.

    Cons

The company is bureaucratic and management is aristocratic. Management is mostly oblivious to employee growth and requirements and managers are simple too busy to please their managers to care for their reportees, there's no feedback taken for managers hence they are free to treat an employee the way they please and people are often threatened with their rating or "something bad" if they ask something management is uncomfortable with. The management won't care for you unless you have spent around 3 years in company and it's then they try to fathom where you might be going. Lot of irrelevant hierarchy one person can easily have local lead, a local manager an onsite lead and onsite manager and few other people he reports too, he may not even know what kind of feedback is being shared about him, so at appraisal time ratings are very random and erratic.

    Advice to Management

Research says people don't leave company but bad managers and JP Morgan seems to be full of them at least in tech side. Bring transparency in your processes and make managers accountable to their reportees rather than their managers.
