I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay; great benefits (med/dental/vision/401K/vacation-sick-personal time); work-life balance; opportunity (for advancement/other roles & learning/training/etc.); people are overall great; community involvement is spectacular; company as a whole cares about its employees.

    Cons

Bureaucratic/pass-the-buck nightmare; too many chiefs/not enough Indians; sense of entitlement and a lot of distorted alpha-type a personalities; disconnected/contradicting management

    Advice to Management

Talk the talk and walk the walk, do not just say it - follow through & show up. Speeches/letters and then disappearing does not cut it, provide some non-contradicting direction for the 'now' not just the way later down the road.

I worked at J.P. Morgan as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overtime was great as well as the amount of resources that are provided for you to complete your task accurately and on time.

    Cons

Parking at the Polaris location is horrible and it would be great if they could add a work out facility inside.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the customer and not the process. too much time being spent on pointing fingers instead of getting loans processed quickly and accurately.
