    Pros

    People are great
    Strong leadership and engaging
    Excellent training programs
Always feel like management takes into account others views/ideas

    Cons

A little too bureaucratic and would like to have seen more of a flat management structure.
Sometimes promotion based on length of service rather than job aptitude.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan as an intern for more than 3 years

    Pros

I was a technology analyst intern this past summer. From the start of the program, I really liked the fact that they had me working on a project that was actually used in my team's product. Most people were great to work with and were very helpful throughout the summer. Overall, this was a great opportunity!

    Cons

In a firm as large as JPMC, getting access to certain tools/software can take time. But, this is probably the case at any company just as large.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing! Please continue the senior speaker events throughout the summer. They really provided most interns insight into what their careers can progress into and other areas of business at JPMC. Also, a lot of these speakers, most notably Jamie Dimon, were very inspirational.

    Pros

If you are good, they are willing to move you around.
The IB leadership has been there for a while and provides consistency.
The hours are IB hours but not horrific.

    Cons

Compensation is a point of improvement.
Also the company has recently been losing the edge it had right after the crisis.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

It's a BIG company with great global brand recognition and marketplace leverage. Well known and admired upper management. Pretty decent pay and there are a lot of opportunities & benefits for their employees. Great little consumer perks and discounts from being an employee as well.

    Cons

Because of the size of the company it can be a little impersonal. Plus with its numerous global locations there is always the risk that your department could be relocated out of state or out of country. When it happens it's tough to deal with. However you have to always remember that it's not personal. A company such as this is in the business of making money for its shareholders as much as it is satisfying their customers needs. Unfortunately employee salaries are just another line on the ledgers to cut down in order to increase profit margins.

I worked at J.P. Morgan as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

You ge4t to work internationally. I worked with a team out of London and they were amazing. You also learn about technology and they have a great speak series.

    Cons

It's a big company so your project work makes you feel like you have no impact. Also slow to make progress due to red tape and size. At the end of the day, it's a big company. There are pros and cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat interns like full time, my manager was great, but the norm seemed that interns did grunt work.
