I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a pay check. Company Values were there. But Team managers and center manager that is all I cansay.

    Cons

The System Processor were working on one system and underwriters were working on another. The 2 system did not talk to each other. It took longer to get a loan in to closing then it took to process the hole loan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a better system. And when processing is holding over 100 loans. Be there for them

    Pros

Some great co-workers, Jamie Dimon, some great opportunities if you are one of the chosen few.

    Cons

Bureaucracy and office politics are second to none and underneath the "culture and values" they really have no loyalty to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of ushering out your tenured high performing boomers to hire a cheaper workforce, why not just cut a few of the multitude of business trips and higher-up's frivolous expenses/bonuses to keep your loyal workforce? Shame on you.

    Cons

Watch out there are some branch managers that like to bully people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch some of your branch managers, they make more mistakes, break rules more than associates. Then they place blame on someone else.
