    Pros

thrown in the deep end but not without a decent level of support. lots of interesting projects, very talented people and a true advocate of technology. Internal mobility is also very healthy

    Cons

a level of politics (as with anywhere). A very big place making it difficult to progress. some divisions have a long working hours culture

    Advice to Management

Spent more time with junior members

  8. I worked at J.P. Morgan

    Pros

Starting salary higher than competitors, career opportunities after working here, opportunities for fast track progression available to those who want them

    Cons

Overly bureaucratic, opportunities for progression used as a means to manipulate employees, employees rewarded with immoral behaviour, inhumane working hours

    Advice to Management

don't ignore the people below you as your company depends on them, with better focus on the employee the company could seriously turn around its image

    Pros

Right level of control and freedom. Very little dead wood.

    Cons

Severe eoy ranking. Unless in top rankings, and less than half can be, compensation will decrease significantly. Impossible to recover as increases for top performance are less than cuts for average. Difficult for new people as long timers look out for each other.

    Advice to Management

    Value staff and be flexible.
