Pros
Flexible work environment. You can take a day off with little notice. Computer software is up to date. Very high-end portraits produced. Some portraits have won awards. Supportive of and involved in community. Some folks have grown-up having their pictures taken at J Pamela. The studio is very well respected. Nice group of people. Women owned business.
Cons
No paid holidays. No medical insurance or retirement plan. Only fulltime employees get paid vacation. The boss is a flighty person. When there is a crisis, the boss doesn't have your back, your're on your own. The client base is stagnant and needs to be expanded to increase revenue.
Advice to Senior Management
If you feel an employee's idea is something that doesn't work for you, you should be upfront and not lead them on. Communicate better with the staff about studio hours of operation cutbacks. Be consistant.

Cons
management can be very demanding, some all-nighters required
