Independent working environment with potential for growth

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Boston, MA

ProsAble to apply new avenues of sourcing vendors and contracts. Negotiating contracts can be acquired but management needs to work more closely with the accounting and Inventory departments.

ConsUnable to apply new vendors without total management approval which includes supervisors and upper management. There is currently no communication between the inventory department and upper management.

Advice to Senior ManagementChanges need to be put into place regarding the purchasing of new items for the company and communication needs to be addressed between upper management and the Inventory departements.

Experienced and knowledgeable staff that cannot seem to synchronize their efforts to move the company forward.

    Manager (Current Employee) Orlando, FL

ProsBenefits and compensation are moderate. Very experienced core staff. Very knowledgeable staff with an available expert matter on almost every aspects of the business.

ConsnoUs vs Them mentality, most departments work as a single unit quick at playing the blame game. Collectively experience staff but yet champion bad decision making. Employees moral is not on management list. No profit sharing but yet punish employees (pay cuts) when upper management fails. They do not practice what they preach, every wall posters talks about quality but every other targeted goals are never met.

Advice to Senior Managementlisten to your employees, they are more knowledgeable then you think. And stop looking at charts and actually get involve in daily operations.

Pay is good, and then there's the pay, and don't forget the pay!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsIncome. And that is it.

    Cons- employees moral comes last
    - all about sales and not the people.
    - HR is all about open enrollment, and employee comittee functions. That's it. Keep managers from promoting, giving raises, basically anything positive. They never have answers for any questions. Will tell you they will get back to you and
    - if there is a sales mistake expect a pay cut by all, and a few layoffs to make the numbers look good for HQ.
    - they hate change. If you have a good idea keep it to yourself. They only listen if you work outside the company. Then they will pay millions for your advice or improvements.
    - if you just want a good check and can handle sometime stressful work, with moderate tools to get your work done. ... this is your place

Advice to Senior ManagementStart putting your people first. Let them be proud to work for you. Happy employees equal great results
