    Pros

Good company for personal growth. Professional Development is encouraged. Various types of training available. Senior Management are very accessable and lead the company through careful expansion - not boom or bust.

    Cons

Some people are in senior positions despite not being qualified but you find that at any company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with compensation levels as they rise within the industry

    Pros

Small - medium size company that provides you with the ability to work independently, yet within a project team. No micro-management of performance; rather, the open door communication and encouragement by all managers and mentors.

    Cons

Clients who do not provide accurate information or change it consistently; scope-creep syndrome. Sense of disconnect when placed in a client's office.

    Advice to Management

Spend some time walking about the office and personalizing your time. Attend team-building events and get to know people by site. Help define career growth for employees.

    Pros

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at JPKenny. The open and supportive attitude allowed me to learn quickly.

    Cons

There is no room for advancement. Training was mostly useless as was the mentorship system in my case.

    Advice to Management

The training system needs work. As it is most of the training involves showing up on your day off and listening to someone explain a program that you never get to use while giving you almost no hands on experience. For me the mentorship system did not work out at all. There needs to be more support for the mentors and the mentees especially for those working out of the office at other companies. If Wood Group Kenny is going to keep expanding the way that it has been then the company structure will need to change as well in order to allow for more possibilities for advancement.

    Pros

the opportunity for advancement is vast. i know i am doing a good job and i will be rewarded for it.

    Cons

the hours can be ridiculous sometimes. I am working all day it seems. The people can be snooty and arrogant.

    Advice to Management

change the cost to profit structure and paid vacations can help company moral. workers need to breathe to do a good job

    Pros

I was an intern at the time and I could clearly feel that the team members were very supportive. Each and everyone of them was very willing to help you.

    Cons

When everyone is working on a project and as a new addition to the team, you may get less guidance at time but there are clearly some other materials to help you understand the whole subject better.

    Pros

It is in Houston, TX. A great town to work in. Get a chance to work in a company in the subsea oil and gas industry

    Cons

Need to tap into the Wood Group as a place cross train people in the subsea oil and gas industry.

    Advice to Management

Good work. Keep it up. Everything rises and falls on leadership. Continue listening to employees and clients. Hope for the best.
