Pros
Good first job out of college, many locations so you can transfer to a branch closer to home. Excellent systems to work with.
Cons
The pay is not stable since a large part of it is incentive. Incentive is changed often, rarely for the better.
Pros
a great learning opportunity and a lot of exciting projects going on every day so that your life is great.
Cons
I love my job. So i did not see the cons. Might be long hours sometimes, but it worths it
Advice to Senior Management
More chance to meet with more junior people. But over all it is a great experience! I really like people and job
Pros
salary, opportunities for growth and advancment
Cons
Culture can be confusing for new employees
Pros
Great Compensation and chances to move up
Cons
No downside to working here unless you don't have hard work ethic
Advice to Senior Management
keep up with the great leadership
Pros
On hands training. Supportive of decisions as long as you can validate the decusion rendered.
Cons
Lots if mandatory overtime, which is good at first. However, one eventually needs to rest and have time with family.
Pros
Tier 1 Firm, Internal Mobility are the best reasons that a person has to work in this firm like GS
Cons
Highly Bureaucratic, the firm successfully navigated risk off period by being risk off, but that is stifling the work culture
Advice to Senior Management
Be more nimble and have some perspective on what audit, legal and bureaucratic process you want to install in the firm
Pros
opportunities for chcange in roles, large company brand
Cons
lateral job moves, hard to move up pay scale if staying at JPMorgan long term
Advice to Senior Management
Better reviews of people pipeline
Pros
Great leadership, good structure and support for employees
Cons
People work extremely hard here, extra hrs, weekends are common
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work
Pros
comparable pay for industry, good benefits, lots of opportunity for advancement, many resources available for career advice, excellent online and mobile products, teller referral bonuses, tons of locations, most store-level managers are willing to coach and grow your career, company technology support is open to employee recommendations and comments.
Cons
starting pay is lower than many smaller banks, raises are not given voluntarily; you have to negotiate, workdays are potentially long, the bank is open on Saturdays, a lot of public animosity toward large banks, application process can be unnecessarily long (applications are only accepted online, a recruiter narrows the pool and then each branch interviews final candidates)
Advice to Senior Management
Allow branch management more opportunity to identify candidates.
Pros
I learn something new everyday, plenty of opportunities to learn. Great amounts of overtime worked, but they compensate well for it. Management is good, just hate dealing with some of the back offices overseas.
Cons
High Volumes of work. Hard to get things done when the back offices are so risk adverse. Other internal departments you deal with will quickly throw you under the bus for problems they cause.
Advice to Senior Management
Grow your employees, mentor them. Hire more competent employees and get rid of some of the old dead weight ones that have been there forever.
