    it's a sweat shop

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Baytown, TX

Proslots of hours and decent medical

ConsSafety hazards everywhere, the company fails to raise pay to meet competitive wages with current employees. Work 12 hours with no breaks, work 7 days with no day off but management has theirs? There is no work-life balance. Now management is creating too many rules and the new supervisors and running power hungry.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn how to respect people who work for you and talk to them with that respect. Even though we work like robots, we don't need to be treated like them as well.

    Review for JSW Steel Toranagallu

    GET (Former Employee) Toranagallu (India)

ProsThe salary offered for freshers is very good considering the fact that the company pays for just monitoring work.
You can save most of your salary here as there is nothing in Toranagallu to spend on.
The people I worked with were very friendly (personal opinion) and helpful.
The accommodation provided by the company is very good.
Heaven for any sport-buff because the sports facilities provided by the company is high class.
Very strict policies in favor of Women safety (Immediate action taken)

ConsThe quality of Engineers working here is poor.
Non-availability of public transport/ company transport from accommodation to work for Employees working in shifts(90% of the employees work in shifts). So you compulsorily need a bike before joining here.
Work culture is bad, hence quality of work done is poor.
Be prepared to work for a lot of extra hours and not being paid for it. (working for extra hours is primarily due to the fact that efficiency of the Employees is very low).
Working here for a longer period of time wont make much difference to your experience.
No life here as its a village and you need to travel minimum a hour and half to go to Bellary or Hospet(towns) and they are still not worth it.
Wrong place for any fresher looking to learn rather than earn.
Very dangerous for pillion riders as the Tippers are very rash.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter opportunities for freshers to learn.
Manage the resources effectively, especially manpower.
Regular transport for employees working in shifts and staying in Vidyanagar, can avoid lot of road accidents.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
