I worked at JVS as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Working at JVS feels like being part of a community working for the greater good— and that's exactly what it is. I truly enjoyed my time there.

    Cons

I truly don't have any cons. I suppose it would have been nice to get to know some of the executives a little better, but as an intern, I would never have expected that anyway.

I have been working at JVS

    Pros

This is essentially a good place to work. People are friendly and the atmosphere is positive.

    Cons

Needs better ongoing training. Following up to help an employee improve performance rather than just stating that performance needs improvement.

    I worked at JVS

    Pros

You are making an impact on the community and helping people improve their lives. The corporate culture is rich in heritage and caring.

    Cons

No room for growth. Management is stubborn, disorganized, secretive and outdated. Little interest in new ideas. Not a place to work if you need to grow or need to survive on the compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in young workers and allow them to create a fresh culture of innovation and creativity.
