I have been working at Jackson Symphony Orchestra part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – every one is very professional,, the working environment is always clean... the administrative staff is also very courteous and informative....and it was fun
Cons – i can not think of a con,, unless,, sometimes having to rehearse at night or long hours,, but when you are a musician,,, that is to be expected
Advice to Senior Management – i have no advice..
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Jackson Symphony Orchestra
Pros – The most interesting part is being able to work with renown artists, but unfortunately after the performances the soloist, who are typically from China, hide in there dressing room for most of the concert series.
Cons – Seniority is more important than virtuosity, because I find that any individual working in the orchestra for an extended amount of time typically is always late to rehearsal and is not very passionate about practicing. I still practice more than most of the other performers as a business manager.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to widen the personalities of the orchestra members. I found it a burden always worrying whether I had clocked in or not at rehearsal without there being any common sense of integrity in the rehearsal hall.
