I worked at Jacksonville University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Although the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville has deteriorated badly, the campus setting is attractive along the St. Johns River.

    Cons

Only 6 out 10 first year students return for the 2nd year (61%). Only 1 out of 4 students graduate in four years (26%) - see IPEDS data from U.S. Education department. Only 41% graduate no matter the length of time.
Average net cost (after grants and scholarships) has soared to over $20,000 per year. Very poor performance for a private institution carrying a high price tag. Recruiters mislead students into thinking that their opportunities for success are greatly enhanced by attending JU. The University is not well thought of in the local area.
