    Pros

Fun environment, great quality of food and wide variety, down to earth managers and owners, opportunities for advancement if you are good at your job and make the effort. The only reason I left is because I moved, but one is opening here and I'm going to work there.

    Cons

Can be stressful like any other restaurant job at high volume, but if you thrive off of it like I do, then its still great!

    Advice to Management

I really enjoyed the management, and you made working there a blast, even though we did actually work! Keep up the good work!

I worked at Jake's Wayback Burgers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place for a part-time high school job. Good customer service experience.

    Cons

Work can be hard at times, and hours are not ideal. Little recognition for hard work.

    Advice to Management

Try to work with employees for them to receive more reasonable and consistent weekly schedules. Consider paying something other than the minimum wage for average workers.

    Pros

Men and women are treated equally and paid equally. It's a great learning experience. The store focus is on quality and cleanliness which is what a good restaurant should do.

    Cons

Pay rate is low and it's tough work.

    Pros

Awesome co-workers Easy tasks Can be fun

    Cons

Pay is terrible, even for supervisors

    Advice to Management

If there was even a bit of better pay, it would be worth it.

  9. Terrible, god awful

I worked at Jake's Wayback Burgers part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the employees are tolerable

    Cons

Where to begin. One most of the employees are burnouts or scum. Ignorant people who think they are better then you and won't help a new employee. Management is AWFUL. The owner is too incompetent to hire a GOOD manager, so she goes with drug addicts, bank robbers, ex criminals, and current criminals. Finally the current TWO managers can't run a resteraunt to save their lives. With these three at the helm of this store this place will tank in the next 3 years max. Pay is terrible. Sometimes they will even not pay you correctly. They have been investigated for labor problems. Unless that is the manager or owner likes you and will promote you even if you lack the requirements.

    Advice to Management

Shut down and try to save face. You tried to own a resteraunt and failed miserably.

  10. Great employees. Terrible management

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

-coworkers are great, friendly, inviting And hardworking. -enjoyable work experience due to coworkers -if you like working at a high speed pace(on weekends) and like the challenge, it's for you !

    Cons

-management is TERRIBLE. They don't listen to their employees when they have a problem. -management will not work with your schedule even if you are in school and involved in extracurricular activities. -management will offer advancements and promotions to get you to work harder, yet will not go through with promises -new management has no experience in being a manager and will favor certain employees along with talk about other employees to employees behind their backs. -very mixed up management. Owner will not listen to employees about manager until it's too late. This has happened several times. Not just once -management expects longer term employees to handle the entire store(cash register, milkshakes, cooking, prep work, cleaning) by themselves along with training new employees -new manager seems to go on "breaks" for long periods of time and coming back with an overwhelming smell of cologne seeming as if to cover up some other smell

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees better and listen to their needs. Do not make promises of advancement if you are not willing to go through with it.
