I worked at Jamba Juice part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Wasn't much to be excited about. The employees were pretty cool.

    Cons

So, out of all 500000 of my jobs, this one takes the cake at being the worst. Maybe it was just the store I was at, but the way things were done was awful. The training was the worst part. It was reading a book for about 2 hours then THROWING you out on the floor to start making drinks. And when you can't do that, the employees roll their eyes because they have to take time out of their hard working day to assist you. Also, when I was asked why I wasn't wearing my name tag, hat and apron they got an ATTITUDE with me because I was never assigned ANYTHING.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work harder at hiring better managers. Just don't hire some random person that looks like an ex-druggie.........just sayin.

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Free smoothies. Lax work attire.

    Cons

This is a 25 year old start-up. No processes or procedures in place; when you suggest something, their responses are "that's impossible" and "we've always done it this way". 90% of the people (VPs & Directors) with an office are too good to talk to you let alone smile or say "hi", even though they're not qualified to sit in those offices. The concept of "going above and beyond" your job responsibilities has never entered the building. Most of the people are here due to knowing someone at a senior level not necessarily because they are qualified for their role. Most are complacent in their role, not motivated or driven to move up. All the good employees leave as soon as they realize what they've gotten themselves into.

    Pros

Free smoothies were probably the best part

    Cons

I had food poisoning act up during a shift and my manager would not let me go home. I'm talking about going to the bathroom every 10 minutes. This was a major health hazard and it was ridiculous

    Pros

Washing dishes isn't as gross as it is everywhere else

    Cons

    Micromanaged
One manager will tell you one thing, a different will tell you another thing
    High turnover
    Low pay
Tips only matter if you worked a lot of hours
    Managers weren't very nice

They don't train you very well

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try hiring an assortment of manager and not ones that are bias. Also hiring more then highschool kids. Raise the pay that you're offering
