I worked at Jamba Juice part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    -flexible scheduling for students
-technically quite easy to be promoted at first
-it's quite fun to make smoothies and other products

    Cons

    -terrible corporate setup
-they think they're doing the world a service by promoting a "healthy lifestyle", and claim they treat their employees great. This is simply not true.
-Team Leads make 8 dollars.....8 dollars!!! to do almost everything a GM does. If you're offered this "promotion", don't waste your time. It's not worth the stress and lack of respect

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-raise your team Lead wage. a .75 cent difference from team members is not enough incentive to deal with the customers
-also, your excessive use of coupons/deals is doing nothing for your business. Except making your customers entitled and rude.

Sexual Harrassement & Abusive Labor of a Minor

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at Jamba Juice

    Pros

Good tasting smoothies, free whenever you work, some good friends, really easy, learn some new things

    Cons

Manger was abusive, cooperate higher ups abused their rights, cooperate only made charitable donation to have customers pay them back, cooperate doesn't care about their employees, too much trust in one manager, several bad managers, overworking of minors, sexual harassment on several accounts

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on the floor more often, don't let your employees clock out just to make labor for you when they only make minimum wage & you have a yearly salary of over 70k, take sexual harassment serious, don't push people to work Black Friday, especially as minors, enforce more sanitary handling, a lot of people don't have food handling cards, grab things with bare hands, ect. consider remodeling older stores, they're disgusting

    Pros

great people. great management. great perks. room for advancement at individual locations but not much room to move up in the company as a whole

    Cons

poor hours. lack of pay for location of living and location in general. not much compensation at all, just free/discounted drinks. not much room for personal growth or advancement in the company as a whole

I worked at Jamba Juice full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

hours are pretty flexible, fun usually fast paced, tips, you're offered benefits after three months of working there, promotions are easier to get then before

    Cons

pay is minimum wage, the new jamba is getting more complicated with more work thats not worth the pay, when i left on 2014 everyone was quitting because of the changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

if youre a hard worker you most likely get promoted to team lead, which is like a key holder, raise goes anywhere from .50 cents to one dollar, really not worth it for the amount of work you have to do.

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very easy job, with flexible hours especially if you're a high school or college student. Friendly managers in which creates a friendly environment.

    Cons

Very repetitive, same thing different day. Low pay for the amount work that you do. Little space for promotions. This job is honestly more cleaning than smoothie making.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't just sit back and have employees do all the work. Set the standard so that employees will follow suit.

I worked at Jamba Juice part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Meet a lot of new people. Upbeat atmosphere some of the time. Training was one month long. It was a pretty short but sweet introduction, it is best to learn by doing.

    Cons

Poor wages. Disingenuous company values. The corporation is choosing their profits over treating their employees well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The customers that are interested in what is good and healthy will eventually flock to other reputable sources. Possibly even to Amazon

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time

    Pros

The company makes a great product. The benefits and bonuses for management can be good. If you like or need a varied scheduled this is perfect for you. Agm, shift lead and team member positions are great for students or as a second job. Gms are only required to work 40-45hrs.

    Cons

The company has a very poor labor model. You must be able to manage multiple priorities in a very fast paced environment. The goals given are often unreasonable. It's very difficult to retain good employees because the pay for part time employees is not competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your store operators. Test products in multiple store types and consider the flow of business. Change the labor model. Stores need more labor to serve the guests at the high level that is expected.
